Patents and Intellectual Property
Leveraging our patent and IP expertise is a key part of the FutureClean business strategy. For over two decades, our product development team has worked with intellectual property lawyers on successful patent applications for a wide range of devices and products.
In 2018, the Flipr Mop was granted a US utility patent (US10052008). This intellectual property gives FutureClean the rights to compete in a billion dollar disposable pad mop space that currently has a very limited number of players.
Earlier in 2021, the TheShield Toilet Brush was awarded patent rights in the U.S. After filing a PTC Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) with the World Intellectual Property Organization, FutureClean began to file for foreign patents in over 40 countries in 2023. Patent filings in the European Union, Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada, Mexico, and other countries will allow FutureClean to be the only producer of shielded toilet cleaners for a large portion of the world's population.
The CleanTop Trash Can was award U.S. patent rights in 2023. Filings for international patent rights will occur in 2024.
Multiple patents on additional FutureClean products are in development and we expect to claim and protect future market segments with intellectual property rights.
